Intuition Journal – Comfort and Trust

Whenever I am struggling with an issue or feeling uneasy about a situation, I sit quietly with pen & paper. I let my busy mind ask the questions and listen for my intuition to provide the answers. The voice, which I call intuition, is always peaceful, always calm. It is always good and it is always true.

Here is a conversation between the mind and the intuition. Written November 29th, 2018 — 3 weeks after my home and my community was destroyed in the Camp Fire. I was scared to share this before because it’s a little out there, but it applies to our current situation — so it feels right.

We’re all going through something big and transforming and reading this was a nice reminder that we are all connected, like leaves on a tree. And sometimes the best thing to do is just weather the storm together.

How should I be? How am i supposed to act?

There is no supposed to or should,. There is just being.

Let go of control. Let go of the habit of listening to how someone else thinks you should navigate life.

It is within you.

But I’ve never done this. How am I supposed to comfort others and be there for others who are in so much pain?

Be there for yourself. Let go of obligations to others.

Let go. Let go.

Embrace raw form. Exist.

Let people be, let people grow.

Let yourself be, let yourself grow.

Feel the experience.

Feel what is real. Feel what it is to exist without self, without identity.

Feel what it is to have joy without possessions.

Feel what it is to see people as they are.

Don’t I already see people? How can I see people in this new way?

Look at them, make eye contact. hear them, let them know they’ve been heard.

Let them see you. let them hear you.

Surrender to vulnerability. Trust.

Share the experience. share connection. share growth.

I learned this technique through the Lively Show, a podcast hosted by Jess Lively and it has been a technique that has carried me through some of the hardest times of my life. Learn more here: https://jesslively.com/intuition/
